Life Motto: “Those who dwell among the beauties and mysteries of the earth are never alone or weary of life.” -Rachel Carson
Hometown: The Pacific Northwest. It is first place I moved on my own accord, and where I consider my true “roots” to have been planted.
Lived in San Diego: Since Spring 2017, although I’ve lived off and on in Southern California since I was 11.
Hobbies: I see myself as a bit of a “Jill of All Trades” in that I love to do a lot of different things. Reading, writing, watching films, creative projects (drawing, sewing, woodburning, etc), music, learning new things, and reading tarot are all interests of mine. I’m also enamored with nature and prefer to spend my time outside exploring, hiking, trail running, tree/rock climbing, and swimming.
Something that people will be surprised to know about me: I am a scientist! When I’m not at Eco Chateau you can find me studying insects at the Natural History Museum. So if you ever see a creepy crawly in your house, don’t smash it–I’ll catch it for you!
Special Skills: Making people feel welcome, writing, organizing literally everything, and climbing things. I also am learning how to play a mean banjolele (that’s right, it is a banjo and a ukulele in one!)
What I LOVE about what I do: Working for a local company that is genuinely devoted to the success and wellness of its clients, employees, and the environment is an unparalleled joy. As we speed along through life, it is so important to take the time to appreciate connection to oneself and others. I find Eco Chateau helps me do this, not only for myself, but for the welfare of our community.
